Ceiling Fan Light Chain Broken

With a voltage tester touch one end of the probe to the black wire and the other to the white wire.

Flip off the circuit breaker to the ceiling fan s electrical circuit. Gently pull the fixture down without touching the wires. Disassemble the switch and reconnect the chain. When ceiling fan pull chain is broken inside of the ceiling fan when no pull chain is visible this likely means that the pull within the ceiling fan has broken near or inside the ceiling fan pull switch.

Open up the switch in the ceiling fan and remove the broken piece of chain. Again take a picture of the wiring then undo the two wire nuts that wire it to the rest of the light kit.
